Ten Thousand Villages is part of Mennonite Central Committee.  It is an organization that provides marketing to craftsmen and craftswomen from all over the world.  They work extensively with development organizations to provide jobs and a market to people that do not have access to either on their own.  Please go to the this link for information on Ten Thousand Villages .

Shalom Community Church runs a Ten Thousand Villages Sale in Ann Arbor every December as part of the  alternative craft bazaar.  All labor is donated and all proceeds go back to Ten Thousand Villages.  It is a time when individuals of all ages help out in the setup, selling and takedown of the craft items.
