Next Sunday, May 24th is our Memorial Day Service.  Please come prepared to share the story of someone you love who has died.  There will also be opportunity to light a candle in memory of friends who have died . 

 

There will be no Sunday School on May 31 as we will gather for worship at 11AM at the Delhi Metropark on the Huron River.  Please bring food for a shared picnic at the MetroPark.  Remember there is a $4 entry fee for each car entering the Park.

 

Everyone is invited to Miriam Weaverdyck's graduation party on Sunday
May 31, 2009.  It will be an open house 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the Weaverdyck
home at 1946 Steere Place, Ann Arbor, 668-0003.  Just causal and fun!  A
hardcopy invitation is in your mailbox at church.  Miriam's baptism will
be at 11:00 that morning in the park, followed by a potluck.  Please
come!  Miriam, Shelly, and Curtis

 

Rachel Versluis and Neil Detweiler invite you to their wedding on June 27, 2009, at the College Mennonite Church in Goshen In., at 2PM with reception following in the Fellowship hall.  Please RSVP if you are planning to attend by June 5th.

 

The next Congregational Business Meeting is today following the church service.  The 2 topics currently on the agenda are the "Challenges with filling committee positions" (discussion of church committe size, structure and any other ideas to address this topic) and "Purpose and content of SCC website" to provide CLC input on this topic.  All are encouraged to attend.  Child care will be available during the meeting.  If you would like to add a specific topic to the agenda, please contact Jon Sprunger

¨       Central District Annual Meeting June 25-27, Sugarcreek, Ohio

¨       Michigan District Annual Meeting , Hastings Mi, Aug 10th-11th


The next folk music gathering is May 28, 6:30 PM at the Weaverdyck’s Home.  Making folk music includes instruments (guitar, banjo,  finger snapping, fiddle??), voices (singing, whistling, etc.), listening, and sharing.  You don't need to have an instrument to come and join in.  Anyone is welcome to attend.  Don't need to RSVP, just show up.

Paul  will tell Central District Conference that we have no one to serve as delegate for our annual meeting  in Sugar Creek Ohio, June 25th – 27th ?
